AP Studio & Portfolio classes create Unusual Self-Portraits

The students in Ms. Holliday's AP Studio and Portfolio class were challenged to create unusual self-portraits that employ pattern, rhythm, or repetition. First we looked at unusual self-portraits by famous artists such as Chuck Close, Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon and Cindy Sherman. Then students began their individual self-portraits. The IB Visual Arts Students at PHS are creating student websites that will feature themselves as artists and will eventually include a gallery of their work! Stay tuned...by the end of Quarter 1, students will have the base for their website up and running. Links will be posted!
